It is actually right in my kitchen on one wall... we don't have a walk-in pantry like what I dream about having one day! I really want to invest in some can rotating units, and amazon has them for about 40.00 each, so eventually I will probably do that... for the now, the cheap baskets seems to be working out just fine. :) I have had it this way for about a week now and it still looks pretty good! If you have the name of the book I'd love to take a look at it sometime! I am always looking for new storage ideas, lol.

wow! do you have a specific pantry closet big enough for that rack, or do you store it somewhere else in the house? ONe of my Mormon friends once shared a food storage book with me that detailed great ways to store items, especially cans, including a rolling system for rotating- under beds, easy and cheap to make. One great idea was stacking cases of canned goods and covering with a pretty piece of fabric to make side tables in a bedroom!

Amanda, I am thinking of doing something like this in my room for decor: http://pinterest.com/pin/233272455668668891/ It looks like I could easily make something similar with colors to coordinate in my bedroom, I may even have some fabric already in my stash!

well, I read in a book "The Worn Out Woman" (a great borrow from lindsey!), to really make the journal special, shop for one that really jumps off the shelf, even if you spend more than a regular school notebook, put it with your bible and a seperate list for jotting down distracting thoughts that need to be addressed AFTER quiet time, and get right back to prayer.

I TRY (lucky if its once a week on account of busy mom life) to have some time when I can sit uninterupted with the Lord and just listen, I MUST share with you a class I attended on listening to the Lord, so simple, but I never really did it!

I ask the lord to clear my mind and shoot down my agenda, fill me with his thoughts and priorities, and I just write as thoughts come into my mind, sometimes its nothing, or just a line, sometimes I burn up the journal! I'm really shocked sometimes at what's on the paper when I look back, and I 'm dating each entry.

My sister keeps a scrapbook, where ever she is when she feels the lord leading, speaking, or inspiring, or maybe a great praise that would be easily forgotten, she jots it down and glues it in her book, on store receipts, napkins, whatever is handy!

One of my new years resolutions is to plan a sinks canyon prayer retreat for women this summer, maybe on a saturday morning- God is teaching me that I have much to learn about prayer, less talking, more listening.

i'm on the hunt for blue accessories for my living room, and birdie decor, I've always thought birds were only for old lady houses (my grandma loved blue and birds!), but I've decided I like them too much, so be it, I'm hitting the golden years early!

oh nicci, you are so right- I read once that the secret to prayer, is secret prayer- finding time away is difficult. I too dread and avoid "away"time as a family, its so stressful!! we have a weekly famly movie night, a trip to redbox on fri evening and a cart full of junk food, their one indulgence for the week! I'm struggling with the energy to make family time happen, I'm excited to hear about your trip, hopefully it will motivate me to tackle the chaos of a vacation with all the kids!

Ha ha, I always go with the most difficult project first! My room is definitely the one in the house that suffers. I like the idea of empty corners Amanda, I may try that!
